Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Luciano Landi

Verdicchio is a wine made in Marche, central Italy, and it also is the name of the grape that produces the wine.

Verdicchio is a very famous Italian wine and one of the first to be exported outside Italy, in the eighties Verdicchio was on tables all over the world, but, due producers more interested in quantity than quality, its reputation faded and it slowly disappeared, but Verdicchio is a name that everyone knows.

In the last few years, thanks to a new breed of producers interested in quality over quantity, Verdicchio is coming back into fashion and some great wines have started to appear, including aged Verdicchio, to confirm that the grape can, if properly grown, produce much more than easy, tasteless white wines.

Luciano Landi, with his sons, is one of them, his Verdicchio is, certainly according to us, one of the best we have tasted within its category.

This Verdicchio a beautiful fruity nose, reminding of Golden apples, the palate is fresh, refreshing, harmonious and persistent, dry.
