A great red wine made with Nebbiolo grapes grown on the slopes of the Dolomites in the Valtellina and a small percentage, only 10%, of Syrah to add spices and fruit.
The grapes are manually harvested and then aged in small French barrels, second passage, already used, as to preserve the characteristics of the grapes and avoid the “wood” flavour to overtake the wine. Once the wine completes the ageing process, it is left in the bottle for an additional 18 months before being released.
The result is a fantastic red wine with a nose of spice and red fruit hints, full bodied, a very smooth palate with soft tannins, and despite Syrah being only 10%, it adds to the Nebbiolo without taking anything away.
