Pecorino, Ciavolich

Pecorino is a grape that in the last few years has seen a renaissance, initially forgotten and left to rot on the vines, now in fashion and being cultivated and made in every Abruzzo winery, Pecorino has almost replaced the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo as the region flagship white wine.

Pecorino is white grape that can make outstanding white wines and this is one. Made from a single vineyard and producing no more than 9000 bottles per vintage, this Pecorino is partially fermented in barrels, to add structure and complexity. Vibrant, delicate aromas of fruit with grapefruit notes, the palate is elegant, full, crisp, mineral and a long finish.

It perfectly matches pasta dishes, white meat and medium matured cheeses
