The Marlborough wine region is the most well-known and recognised and is situated at the top right side corner of the south island of New Zealand. This is where it comes the majority of the much-desired Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Also, the region has is famous for the production of high-quality Méthode Traditionnelle wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
