The Banat wine region located lies in the south-west of the country on the border with Serbia and Hungary. It might be the smallest, but the wine production is of good quality due to the terroirs and the proper climate. The region has known one of the best developments of the wine industry, mostly because of foreign investments targeting high-quality winemaking.
