The Catarratto is a white grape variety widely planted in Sicily, especially in the Trapani area and take its name from its high yield. Although appreciated by the public, the Cataratto has recently seen a decrease in its production to the benefits of International varieties. However, a few wine makers have kept growing Cataratto and produced high quality wines.
