Reichensteiner is a light-skinned white wine grape variety created in Germany by crossing between Müller-Thurgau, Madeleine Angevine, White Calabreser grape varieties in Rheingau region. It produces light wines with an almost neutral taste which are commonly blended with other white grape varieties. It is early to medium ripening high-yielding vine resistant to downy mildew and botrytis. Most of the plantings are found in Rheinhessen of Germany and England.
