Petit Manseng is a thick-skinned white grape variety native to Jurançon appellation of South West region of France. This a mountain region includes a small range of the rocky Atlantic coast and a larger stretch of the Spanish border, and it is mainly high in the Pyrenees mountains. It is the main grape of the Jurançon and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and vinified as a richly sweet botrytized wine with stone fruit characters such as peach and apricot, citrus and sweet spice. Petit Manseng can be found in small quantities in Languedoc, Uruguay, Spain and Australia.
