Friulano

Friulano
Tocai Friulano, now known as Friulano (after a disagreement with the Hungarian government regarding the “tokai” name) is a very popular white grape native to Friuli-Venezia Giulia where it has been grown since the 1600’s.

Friulano, previously called Tocai Friulano, was forced to change its name after a disagreement with the Hungarian government regarding the “tokaj” name. Regardless of the name, the Friulano and the Tokaji differ significantly.
